A stunning apartment with fabulous views of the Tuscan countryside. The apartment is ideal for couples or a small family looking for a relaxing, fully appointed, and centrally located ‘home base’ for exploring all that Tuscany has to offer.
The apartment is situated at the centre of a charming hamlet overlooking the vast and classic rolling landscapes of Tuscany and the ancient city of Volterra in the background. The entire Borgo was lovingly restored by fine local craftsmen at the beginning of this century.
The property is on one-level with easy access. It has 67 m2 of indoor and 30 m2 of private outdoor living spaces. It has a spacious open interior with exposed terracotta ceilings and chestnut beams, deep shuttered windows with screens, restored chestnut doors and terracotta tile floors. The sun-drenched apartment provides incredible views to the east, south and west.
Access to the apartment is granted via the private terrace, with entrance directly into the dining  area with fireplace, which opens seamlessly onto the newly updated open plan kitchen which is fully equipped and ready for making a lovely breakfast or an elegant dinner. To the left of the dining room there is a cozy living room, with new comfortable seating, TV, desk, and sofa-bed, equipped with an easily movable privacy screen to create a temporary second bedroom if needed.
Off the dining room is a corridor leading to the master bedroom with a double bed, settee, two wardrobes, and it enjoys two windows with amazing views to the east and south. Off the same corridor is also the bathroom with shower and W/C, which allows use to all guests in the house without interfering with one’s privacy.
The property has a spacious private terrace that includes an outdoor dining set and lounge chairs for romantic al fresco dining while watching the sunrise or sunset, as it is open to the east and west. A separate stone patio and private garden, accessible from the terrace, is perfect for escaping the heat of the day or experiencing magnificent views with a glass of your favorite local wine.
The living spaces were carefully designed to maximize utility and comfort.
ABOUT THE RESORT
Welcome to Mommialla – a small borgo founded around 970 on a south-facing slope along the ancient road between Voltera and Gambassi Terme. The village was reconstructed according to Italian historical guidelines and completed in 2012. Brought back to life from ruins, it stands today as it was over 1100 years ago, rebuilt with quality and modern conveniences.
Mommialla consists of 4 buildings, 15 individual apartments, a large beautiful shared infinity pool and over 70 private hectares of olive groves, meadows, and open forest to explore and enjoy. The overall environment is one of spectacular views, quiet relaxation, and natural beauty.
A beautiful, outdoor, shared, infinity swimming pool with incredible views is a short walk from the apartment. There are umbrellas and chairs dedicated to each apartment for relaxing around the pool area. The pool provides a perfect respite after a day of sightseeing and for a refreshing swim, and there you will have your appointed private area reserved for your entire stay.
Mommialla is easily accessed via a 3 km well-maintained unpaved road. There is a private parking area and the apartment has a dedicated spot for our guest’s exclusive use.
Nearby you will find fresh local farm-to-table foods, grocery stores, many fine restaurants, classic wineries, golf, thermal baths, hiking, biking, and, of course, the many ancient and beautiful cities of Tuscany.

PRICE LIST

Prices inclusive of:  weekly change of bed linen and bathroom, consumption of water & electricity, access to swimming pools (in season), sun beds and sunshades, designated pool area, outdoor dining set, Wi-Fi, parking, Tourist Tax.

Compulsory charges:
– Final cleaning €120,00 per stay
– Heating and A/C: €60,00 per week
– Tourist Tax
– Deposit against damages € 250,00
Duration of stay: minimum stay is 7 nights
Changeover day: rent is weekly from Saturday to Saturday in Peak season. Any day check-in any other season.
Check-in: From 4:00 pm. to 6:00 pm.
Check-out: By 10:00 am.
